Through the accidents of birth and geography, I was born and brought up in the Christian Faith and both the Person and the teaching of Jesus have, and always will be, hugely important to me.  However, I have for some years felt that those of us in the church have sometimes emphasized the Person of Jesus to the detriment of the bigger picture. Jesus’s aim was to point to GOD, not himself!

The church’s belief that he is divine and, indeed,  God himself is a position which can lead to a dangerous and unproductive exclusivism. Is God only to be found in all his fullness in the Christian faith?! I don’t think so!

Thank goodness for Interfaith Groups which broaden our horizons and find truth in many Belief Systems, Spiritualities and World Views!

I have found it liberating(and challenging!) to look    “outside the box” I was born into and am immensely grateful to all individuals and Groups which engage in this exploration and enable the Journey to continue!
